About Us

The “New Bridges” association, founded in 2017 by a group of active citizens from Dimal, Kucova, and Berat, aims to address the need for an active civil society in the Dimali municipality and the Berati region. It focuses on empowering local communities and enhancing civic participation to address issues like good governance, gender equality, youth engagement, and environmental sustainability.

Vision:

A just, inclusive, and sustainable society where individuals, particularly youth and marginalized groups, actively participate in decision-making, promote gender equality, and contribute to environmental protection.

Mission:

Empowering the community to engage in economic, social, and environmental initiatives through awareness-raising, educational programs, advocacy, and community-led actions.

Main Programs and Goals:

1. Awareness and Education

Goal: Empower citizens to actively engage in community development.

Objectives:

2. Advocacy and Community Initiatives

3. Capacity Building and Consultancy Services

Goal: Strengthen civil society organizations and local institutions through tailored consultancy services.

Objectives:

• Provide strategic planning and policy formulation consultancy to civil society and local institutions.

• Increase the capacity of grassroots organizations and local governments in project design, implementation, and assessment, focusing on gender equality, youth engagement, and climate action.
